Bassnectar is an amazing electronic DJ. He is one of my favorite artists. My friends and I drove to Madison to see Bassnectar play one night. As we arrive to Madison we go up 6 floors on the elevator. Our room was a standard hotel room, with two full sized beds and a bathroom behind the front door of your hotel room. As you look outside of our room, across the way was our venue, at the ampitheatre. It was perfect walking distance so we did not have to spend the extra money for a taxi. As we start to get ready for the concert, we start taking a couple shots to get us started and feeling good since drinks are extremely expensive at concerts and festivals. The girls are putting colorful, crazy make-up on eachother. The boys even get pretty for the show. When we are finished getting ready, we have to take pictures for good memories. We enter the ampitheatre listening to artists perform, getting pumped up for Bassnectar. We buy some more drinks as we sit there and wait for the big show to come on. At this time, we are also trying to find a good spot to see the show. We get close enough to where we can see, but not too close that it is going to be super crowded with sweaty bodies and people pushing to get closer. As the butterflies go through our stomach's it is getting closer to the time of Bassnectar to start, and BOOM! He enters the stage with bright and colored lights and amazing visuals on the screen. And from there, we watch and listen to an amazing show.

  1. I would recommend adding the show, as it felt like I was there with how well you described it, but then it ended without really describing the main subject which was Bassnectar. There was only one minor error, which was "as we arrive to Madison", 'to' should be 'at'. Other than that awesome job!

  2. About 3 years ago I went to a Bassnectar concert at the Rave in Milwaukee. It was definitely one of the funnest and most crowded concerts I've ever been to, and on the fourth floor too. My friend Megan's brother let me sit on top of his shoulders with an elephant mask on for the "family photo" he does every concert. The thesis was in the first sentence which was good. I would have like to seen more examples of why Bassnectar is an amazing electronic DJ, you know I know, but other people might not. This was the only thing I found for spelling errors -eachother. Otherwise good job you know I always love reading your blogs since we both are into the same music.

  3. I really haven't been to many concerts, so you put the picture into my head of what you were doing and experiencing each step of your trip. I really didn't understand what kind of music you were talking about though. Nice job.

  4. Nice step by step. I would try to change the start of some of the sentences from we to something else. I think you should have described the music in a little more detail. Good job overall.

  6. I love Bassnectar. I am thrilled to see your interests in music performances but I would like to see more about the shows themselves. You have an opportunity to give more detail and some further elaboration would be a great addition. Some of your sentences seem to wander a bit and your essay seems a bit short. I love your topic, but I was looking for your thesis and title for your essay. you have been to some great shows, I look forward to reading more of your blogs.

  8. I picked your blog just for fun because I love the subject matter. I like the sentence,. The girls are putting colorful, crazy make-up on eachother. The boys even get pretty for the show.(each other should be two words.) I think you should somehow relate your experience to someone else and bring the reader in. Give a personal relation to the concert and what someone else might go throw. Great story. I love what you write about:)
